OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS OF BLIND DUCKY RACING

1. A maximum of 1,000 ducks will be entered in the race.


2. Ducks will begin racing at the North Side of the Britton Creek at 5:00pm, Sunday, May 25th, 08. Patton Park is where the race will take place. The Race Committee reserves the right to manually maneuver the ducks up or down the course.


3. All ducks entered will be provided by and remain the property of the Foundation.


4. Once the ducks are launched, they are on their own. No attempt to free or interfere with any ducks is permitted, unless deemed necessary by the Committee. The Committee will determine winners and winning order and the decisions of the committee are Final.


5. A number will be attached to each duck corresponding to the number on the entry form. The persons’ name that appears on the entry form corresponding to the first duck in order of finish will be awarded prizes. Identification will be required to claim any prize won. A list of prize winners can be located on our website at: blindduckyracing.com.


6. Entry forms must be completely filled out and delivered to the Committee or an authorized representative of the committee, or mailed to the Committee at the address listed here: Hendersonville Lions Foundation, PO Box 2093, Hendersonville, NC, 28793. Entries need to be received prior to the race for a number to be eligible to win any prize. No unofficial tickets are eligible to win any prize. Entrants assume the risk of non-delivery.


7. Free entries defeat the charitable fundraising purpose of the event. However, Free entries can be obtained through any promotional offer the committee deems appropriate.


8. Winners will be announced. Entrants will, where necessary, also be notified by USPS or Phone. Race winners need not be present to win. If any race winner does not claim his or her prize from the Organization of the Hendersonville Lions Foundation within 30days after the Race, the committee will select a winner through random drawing of entry forms.


9. No cash equivalent prizes will be provided in lieu of any prizes. Any and all taxes and similar fees, including, but not limited to, applicable license and registration fees on any prizes, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes: including any gift certificates may be subject to certain restrictions.


10. By entering, entrants release the Organization and officers, directors and members, and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to prizes.


11. By entering, winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation.


12. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries.


13. This event is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.


14. All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by the Committee, and the judgment will be final.


15. All duck logos are owned by Lion Larry Phillips member Hendersonville Lions Club, and no other person or entity is authorized to copy or otherwise use it without consent.


16. Copy of these rules & regulations can be obtained from the Foundation at the address listed above in rule# 6.


17. The adopted ducks finishing in the order of which caught 1,2,3,4, etc. Will receive donated prizes. 1st place blind ducky racer will be a Lucky Ducky Winner. If prize winner is under 18 years old, then a legal guardian assumes responsibility of prize.


18. Money collected will benefit The Hendersonville Lions Foundation.
